Once upon a time, there was a country named 'Wuji Guo', located three thousand three hundred miles to the South of Wilderness Mountain.
The people in Wiji Guo were all farmers. Since the soil was impoverished, they toiled very much without enough to eat and wear.
One day, a Taoist priest came. The priest had every sympathy for their situation, so he decided to teach them the magic of turning a stone into gold. Although the Wuji people were not greedy by nature, they were eager to become rich after all these days of poverty. Now, somebody was able to make them obtain a large amount of gold in a short while; they were overjoyed at this pleasant surprise. Therefore, the people vied with each other in learning the magic and forgot all about their work.
As a result, everybody knew how to turn things into gold, but nobody was willing to do farming again. No farming meant no food. Though the gold bars were stacked as high as a mountain, they still faced the same problem.
When the people found the situation grave. they vented their discontent and anger upon the priest who taught them the gold magic. They even rallied together to attack him. The priest signed sadly, 'As you make the bed, so you must lie on it. Whose fault is it to prefer gold to food?'
